I am looking forward to taking my kids to the Home Depot Kids Workshop this Saturday, April 4 to make the Window Birdhouses! It is totally FREE and each child will get to build their own birdhouse and will receive an orange HD apron and achievement pin. Here are the details.
Toys R Us is having an Easter Adventure from 12-2 this Saturday, April 4th. It's FREE and is sponsored by Nickolodeon. Every child will get free gifts!
Michaels will also host a FREE family event Saturday, April 4th from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. sponsored by Crayola and HP. Let your imagination take you out of this world! Come join us for a 3D experience (3D glasses provided) and treasure hunt. Make your own 3D mini poster, “far out” finger puppet, AND Monsters vs. AliensTM coloring pages for FREE! Ages 5–12 welcome.
Our local library is wonderful and has a great schedule of events. All the offerings are FREE. We attend the storytime & craft on Tuesdays, often take advantage of the movie night one Friday a month, and had a great experience two years in a row with Dr. Seuss night. Each child received a hardbound Dr. Seuss Book and my son won a great bug explorer gift basket. Check out your local library and take full advantage of their offerings.
Our local park is also a great asset. The outdoor playground is huge and there are lots ways to expell excess winter energy. We love to pack a picnic and spend many hours there!
What do you do for frugal family fun? I'd love to hear your suggestions! Feel free to comment below!
