If these are the pots I am thinking of, my coworker got a set for Christmas last year. Thay are not dishwasher safe but she didn't know that and accidently washed them. They started off being a beautiful red but after being washed, they were faded and ugly. Just be sure to check if you like to throw everything in the dw like me. She was very disappointed because she couldn't believe Paula Dean would endorse something that couldn't be put in the dishwasher.
I got these last year for Christmas...I LOVE them and they get used every day. No, they arent dishwasher safe...but I havent found good cookware or knives that are though. I will be ordering another set for our cabin, thanks for the deal!
I have the red, and my saucepan was placed in the dishwasher and turned dingy, tell your friend she can get them sparkly again with some CLR.
Thanks to both of you for your comments. I went over to the Kohl's site and they are not recommended for dishwasher, however almost every single pan set is not recommended for dishwashers! My t-fal set is also very faded on the outside from dishwasher use - we ignore instructions! LOL. I think all of the makers suggest hand washing so that they keep looking good.
