My GPS is has literally saved my life in the last few weeks. Is it bad to rely on these to get you from place to place? I don't know, but I really love mine!
Walmart currently has a refurbished Magellan Roadmate 1340 3.5" GPS for just $39 plus $3 shipping! The cheapest model at Staples is $140!
Is it safe to buy refurbished? Refurbished items from a reputable seller like Walmart come with the same guarantees/warranties as regular models. Did you know that 2/3 of refurbished items are items that have been returned with no reported problems at all? Refurbished items sold from retailers are rechecked at the manufacturer to make sure they are working properly.
We have saved a lot of money over the years buying refurbished items. We purchased a cordless phone system and a Bose Home Theatre System refurbished and both have been nothing but the best!
There are lots of negative connotations that go along with the idea of "refurbished", however I firmly believe it is a great way to save money! What do you think?

I bought my oven refurbished from Lowes. It was a very nice stainless steel model with all the bells and whistles, but the glass cooktop had been broken in transit. They replaced the cooktop and sold it to me for a song!
I've had it for a couple years now and it has not given me a lick of trouble. I'm very glad I bought refurbished!
