I got this deal last year and never regretted a deal like that more. While I received a free giftcard for purchasing a $150 giftcard, I was hassled at almost every store I used it. Nobody knew what it was, I was accused of coupon fraud, I didn't scan and thus could not be a true CVS card (it says Cashstar on it) and so on and so on. It was SO NOT worth that free $30. Never again!!!
My store was clueless also, but mine did scan. I didn't have any problems.
Make sure your printer prints good bar codes I suppose.
it went perfect! got the free $5 bonus card and used it with $5 off $25 cpon cvs emailed for black friday deals. got all the ad deals plus 4 toys, and have $16 ecbs left.
I had this last year and purchased again for this year. I'm very happy with this gift card and bonus since I could use it at the pharmacy department in CVS. At first they were confused about this but once they read the instruction on this gift card and know me it wasn't a problem since then, apart from occasional new cashier. It needs to be scanned as gift card otherwise it wouldn't scan.
As of this evening, Nov 30, this is a dead deal. I was told that they will be offering it again before Christmas.
