What's for Dinner??

My mom is helping me out in the kitchen today.  I am giving her a list of things to cook ahead to make my life easier :)  She will be making:

Banana Bread
Blueberry Muffins
Pancakes
Waffles

I'll be keeping everything in the freezer to use in the mornings for breakfast.

Our Dinner Plan...or lack there-of...
We're deep in the heart of Steeler country and the wild festivities have begun!!  My husband and I spent the better part of the evening making dishes for him to take to work for their pre-Superbowl luncheon.  We made macaroni salad and strawberry pretzel salad.  He will be eating at work today and the kids and I are having a Superbowl  "party" here as well.

If I stick to my plan, I'll be putting some turkey meatballs in the crock pot with red sauce.  We'll probably eat them on subs with fries.  Nothing too special.

Going out to dinner with friends. YEAH! While your mom's there, have her help you make a double batch of cookie dough, scoop into balls & freeze. Once frozen (takes about 1 hour), place in ziplock freezer bag. Next time you turn on the oven or kids want a treat, pop in 1 dozen. This works beautifully, since you don't have to make the whole bunch & your homemade ones are soooooo much better for you than store bought. I even up the health quotient of my cookies, by adding ground flax seed, ground oatmeal, whole wheat flour. Email me if you want the recipe. They are my super easy food-processor cookies. The kids go nuts over them & have no idea they are healthy!
