In order to bypass this, you'll have to call the magazine and cancel auto-renew after about 8 weeks from your purchase. This will allow your subcription to be established by the time you call.

The link you have for the Disney Family Fun magazine is for the regular one-year subscription which the discount code will not work for. I just chose the auto-renewal Disney Family Fun magazine from Amazon and the code worked wonderfully. Thanks so much for the savings. I've been wanting to try this magazine.
