Have I told you how I love my American Express card?  I was just looking at our statement and noticed that so far this year we have saved $800 just by using our card.   My husband uses the card for everything he buys, especially gas purchases.  But we also redirect all of our household bills to the card.  We earn 5% cash back on gas, cell service and business purchases and 1% back on everything else.  We pay off the card monthly.
