When my kids were babies, we spent a lot of money on professional photos and bought our cards from the photographers *gasp*. These were terribly expensive and very posed, neither of which interest me these days!
I really enjoy taking pictures of my kids and a few weeks ago I took pictures of them outside in the leaves. I was hoping these would end up on our holiday cards, and did get some great photos!
However, since looking around on Shutterfly for cards that I like, I came upon the very simple photo card above. How very simple, and creative that photo is! You don't even need any special clothing! And as those of us know, taking pictures of kids together is no picnic! I think the blanket may keep them together long enough to snap a few!
If you are considering taking your own photos to save money, I highly recommend taking a look around at the cards available at sites like Shutterfly (which happens to be my favorite) for an idea of what you might choose before you take your photos. Once you take your photo(s), hang onto them for a great promotion or sale and you won't be stressed about trying to get it done before the sale is over.
