Hot Deals @ Walmart

These are a few of the items I picked up at Walmart tonight while shopping for the week. I had a mounded cart full of groceries that only cost me $68 after the $73 I had in coupons! I picked up 15 Kraft Salad Dressings ($.08 each after the $1.50/1 coupon from last Sunday's paper), 1 Glucerna Cereal (produced $1.04 in overage after the $5 coupon), 10 Pace Picante/Salsa (Picante = $2.08, Salsa = $2.48 - $4 printable coupon), 2 Gerber Graduates $2.18 each - used $3 printable coupon for $.82 in overage for each) and the Kraft Cheeses -These are on Rollback for an unbelievable low price of $1.50 each (previously $2.48)- so I stocked up! To see those deals matched with printable or insert coupons click here and here (for the Gerber deal).

And to the lady behind me in line at Walmart.....I hope you are reading, and I hope I can save you more money than you spend! It can be done!

Yes I do freeze it but it has expiration dates of July and August on it so I wouldn't have to. I always freeze shredded cheese. When you thaw it out it is no different than if it was not frozen!

did you get overage for your pace coupons at wally world? I did not despite getting overage for manufacturer coupnos on trial size gold bond lotion and they were okay with that but not the internet coupons.

Yes, I did get overage on everything. She almost decided to adjust them, however, I told her they turn them in for FACE VALUE anyway so she would have to write the price on every one of them and she decided not to. Next time I'll use less of the same coupon in one transaction. My Walmart typically gives overage on everything. Why not? The do receive face value plus 8 cents handling per coupon!

As for internet coupons--I'll post Walmart's policy on coupons and you can print it and take it along with you to the store and try to argue the no internet printed coupon rule but I cannot guarantee that store will follow corporate policy. YMMV

What do you do with all the dressings? Even when I buy 2 or 3 bottles at a time they tend to expire before I can use them! Any tips?

I have a family of dippers so the ranch goes for chicken nuggets, pretzels, & salads, veggies, etc.

I use the Italian for a marinade for meats - goes great on the grill.

I have two wonderful pasta salad recipes using the Italian and Creamy Italian dressings. We eat lots of pasta salads & regular salads in the summer.

Hope that helps!
